It emerged from a growing realization:

The way we produce, consume and dispose is fundamentally broken.
Plastic should not be regarded as the villain; rather, it is one of the most versatile materials ever developed. As the Founder and a chemical engineer with experience in the petrochemical industry, I have gained firsthand insight into the innovative, durable, lightweight, adaptable, and genuinely beneficial qualities of plastic.
The problem is what the industry did with it. Packaging decisions were made on cost, not consequence. "Recyclable" became a label, not a commitment. Cleaning formulas were optimised for performance on the shelf, not for what happens when they reach the drain. SWITCH was built to answer the question most brands never ask: what happens after someone throws this away?
"The industry asked: what's the cheapest way to package this? The question it should have been asking was: what happens after?"
